A furious Grainne Webb storms into Red Rock Garda station, refusing to leave until she has seen her son Davey. The Garda can't keep Davey locked up and Grainne insists Davey was with her the day of the petrol station robbery. Acting on a personal grudge against the Garda and fear of Laser's thugs, Grainne demands Davey stop talking to them. Nikki has built a tight case against Davey, he's already on a suspended sentence and with the CCTV footage, there's enough to charge him. McKay, on the other hand, is having doubts about pushing forward. McKay knows Davey is the product of bad circumstance - he is trying to do well in college and is seemingly pressured into a criminal lifestyle. Davey deserves more of a future than a jail cell and McKay is determined to help him. McKay can have Davey released if he agrees to become an informant. McKay assures Davey he will be protected and there's the added chance of bringing down the thugs threatening his family. Adrijan realises he has angered the wrong woman when Joan Curry appears at the station to provide his alibi. Adrijan has hit a nerve with Joan, asking her to find a married friend to lie for him. Turns out Adrijan cares more about his career than their relationship and Joan isn't going to let him away with insulting her lightly. Joan hangs Adrijan out to dry with McKay, letting him know he was sleeping with her when the evidence needed to convict Aoife Burke went missing. Sharon is beaming after herself and Paudge receive certificates of commendation for their work in the arrest of Brian McGonagle. Paudge is unusually modest, working with Beady has tainted any feeling of pride he might have once had. Beady has avoided two raids and his niece has dodged a drugs charge, all with his help. Beady's good fortunes have not gone unnoticed by McKay and Nikki. There's clearly a leak in the station and their eyes are on one person in particular...
