Keith is still struggling with the decision of whether or not to accept Little Barry's offer. On one hand he has his mother trying to convince him that they need the money, and using Alice as a tool of persuasion, while on the other Vincent is warning him not to be a fool. Seeing his reluctance to go, Alice decides to take the matter into her own hands and books herself a ferry ticket. Keith is horrified. He was only considering it as a means to getting Alice's life back on track; he can't let her be the one who takes this risk. Keith is left with an impossible decision.
