In Sagrada Reset season 1 episode 2, titled "MEMORY in CHILDREN 2/3", we continue following the story of Kei Asai and Misora Haruki, two high school students with special powers. Kei can remember everything he experiences, while Misora can turn back time by up to three days. Together they form the "Service Club," accepting requests from people in their town and using their powers to help them.
At the beginning of the episode, Kei and Misora receive a request from a boy named Fujimoto. He wants to reconnect with his childhood friend Eri Oka, who seems to have forgotten him. However, Eri's lack of memory is not due to a natural cause - she was involved in a "reset" experiment conducted by the Bureau of Welfare, an organization that oversees special powers like Kei and Misora's. In the experiment, Eri's memories of Fujimoto were erased, and she was given a new personality and life.
Kei and Misora visit Eri's new life and try to see if they can bring back her memories of Fujimoto. However, they soon find out that Eri's reset also included a "border," a powerful barrier that prevents anyone from accessing her memories. Misora's power is useless against the border, and Kei's memory of Fujimoto's face is also not enough to break through it. The only way to access Eri's memories of Fujimoto is to find someone who knew her before the reset.
As the two continue to investigate, they encounter Sumire Sora, a girl from their school who seems to know more about the Bureau of Welfare than anyone else. She tells Kei and Misora that Eri was not the only one who underwent a reset experiment - there are other children in town whose memories and personalities were altered by the Bureau. Sumire also hints at a darker side of the Bureau, saying that they might be using the resets for their own gain.
Meanwhile, Fujimoto becomes impatient and takes matters into his own hands. He approaches Eri and tries to make her remember him, but his efforts only cause her pain. Kei and Misora rush to the scene and find out that Fujimoto himself was involved in a reset experiment before. He was the test subject for a memory implantation experiment, which is why he can remember Eri so vividly. However, his constant presence in Eri's life might also be causing her distress, as it reminds her of the memories she's lost.
The episode ends with Kei and Misora discovering the identity of someone who knew Eri before the reset, and they make a plan to visit him. However, as they step out of the house, they encounter a group of students from their school who seem to be hostile towards them. The reason for their hostility is not clear, but it looks like Kei and Misora's powers have made them a target for suspicion and envy. As the two plot out their next move, it becomes clear that they are in a much deeper and complex situation than they initially thought.
