Nancy and Erick have lived in their house for almost a decade now and it’s in desperate need of an upgrade. The couple is expecting their first child and want to complete their renovations before the baby arrives. But with the timelines, the budget, and their ideas not aligning, they’ve put their dreams on hold.
Enter Sebastian Clovis and Sabrina Smelko, the hosts of Save My Reno. They are here to give Nancy and Erick their dream home and make their renovation dreams come true.
The couple is on a tight budget, so Sebastian and Sabrina have to get innovative. The pair of experts are determined to give Nancy and Erick everything they desire while keeping within their tight budget.
The first step for the team is an overhaul of the living room. Sebastian and Sabrina decide to tackle the space using a mix of industrial and rustic design elements. After several installations, such as unique hardwood floors, beautiful exposed brick, and custom grills for the vents, the living room comes together seamlessly. The couple is ecstatic over the new living room that now serves as the perfect place for their family to rest, relax, and entertain.
With the living room finished, the duo next move to the nursery. The couple is anxious about the baby’s room because it’s small, and they’re not sure how to make it both functional and comfortable. Sebastian and Sabrina suggest utilizing the vertical space in the room by installing stylish floating shelves for nursery essentials. The duo also adds a mural to one of the walls, brings in an elegant crib, and dresses up the windows adding an extra wow factor to the already incredible nursery.
The dining room is next, and both hosts want to add more storage options to make it a space that’s not only beautiful but functional. They start by changing the flooring to a hardwood that makes the room feel more elegant. Then they add a wall clad in barn wood to add rustic charm to the dining room. The couple wants a wine-rack, so the team finds the perfect wine rack that can close up so that it doesn’t get dusty.
The last, but certainly not, least is the primary bedroom. The couple has not been in a hurry to update the bedroom because they want it to be perfect and precise. The bed is already luxurious and king-size, and they have picked out matching nightstands. But they haven’t agreed on anything else, so Sebastian and Sabrina push them out of their comfort zone. They create an accent wall using a textured wallpaper, which looks exquisite and makes the room appear more spacious. They add custom-milled trim to the baseboard and ceiling re-creating the English country style Nancy desires. Erick wants a feature that he loves, so they add back-lit floating shelves for him to display his knick-knacks.
The team brings the entire house together with a stunning new color scheme, furniture, décor, and lighting. Sebastian and Sabrina have worked as a team to produce work that is on budget, on time, and exceeds Nancy and Erick’s expectations.
After all the hard work, Sebastian and Sabrina give the couple a surprise reveal, ready for their new home just in time for the baby’s arrival. Nancy and Erick are in awe of their new, beautiful home. They’re thrilled, and now they have a functional home, an easy-on-the-eye baby room, and a master suite worthy of royalty.
