Ep 1. Molly Grows Up

In the first episode of Netflix's Sex Education, entitled "Molly Grows Up," we are introduced to Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield), a socially awkward high school student who also happens to be the son of a sex therapist, Jean Milburn (Gillian Anderson).

Throughout the episode, we see snippets of various students' sexual problems and struggles, from a boy with premature ejaculation to a girl who can only orgasm while standing up. Although Otis is hesitant at first, he ultimately proves to be knowledgeable and helpful in his advice-giving.

As the episode progresses, Otis' crush on Molly intensifies and he starts to become more confident in himself. He even stands up to a school bully who was harassing Maeve.

In the final scene of the episode, Otis must confront his own sexual issues when he has trouble getting an erection while attempting to masturbate. He seeks out his mother for advice and ends up taking her suggestion to try something unconventional.
