Ep 2. Physical Aspects of Puberty

She's living in a trailer park with her drug-addicted mother, and is constantly torn between trying to make money and taking care of her mother. She finally decides to make enough money by stealing from her customers.

Back at school, Otis and his best friend Eric find themselves in physical education class, and the coach begins to talk about puberty. The coach tells the class about the normal physical changes that happen during puberty, but doesn't provide any useful information about sex or how to have safe sex. Otis decides to take things into his own hands and gives a sex-ed class to his classmates, but is interrupted by the coach who is not pleased with his lesson. However, Maeve approaches Otis and decides to give him some useful advice on how to handle this scenario in the future.

Otis also learns that he has a crush on his friend Maeve. However, Maeve tells Otis that she only sees him as a friend and doesn't want to ruin their business partnership. Otis is heartbroken, but decides to move on and focus on helping Eric with his STD worries. Otis takes Eric to a sexual health clinic where Eric finally lets his guard down and tells Otis that he’s scared to come out to his dad.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger as Maeve plans to steal some money from one of her clients but ends up getting caught by the client's mother. Her future is left uncertain as the episode comes to a close.
