Originally created as a web-only series, Single Dads was created by Pete Karinen and Brian Sacca, the duo responsible for the 2007 series FCU: Fact Checkers Unit. Each episode is built around short vignettes from the lives of Pete (Karinen) and Brian (Sacca). While it's not explained why they are single dads, each of them is struggling in their own way to not let their babies cramp their dude style. The best episodes of the 11 episode series are the ones that start with a completely insane premise and then build from there. The series is uneven creatively, but there are some flashes of brilliance.

15. She's Back

After settling his debt with Molly, Pete and Brian are celebrating by day drinking. When there's a knock at the door, Brian is shocked to see who it is.

14. Baby Yoga

January 4, 2011

Pete's ex-landlord, Molly, shows up with her lawyer threatening to sue Pete if he doesn't pay her the $3000 he owes her. He doesn't have the money so he offers her something of equal value.

13. Daddy Class

Feeling sympathetic, Audrey arrives offering to help Pete and Brian learn some essential parenting skills.

At his single moms support group, Brian learns he should already have his 1 year old on a waiting list for pre-school. He and Pete spring into action to try to enroll Theodore and Pete Jr. at the prestigious Eastlake Pre-Prep.

10. Two Turntables and a Microphone

After selling their finger paintings at the flea market, Brian comes home with $1000. Just as they're about to celebrate, Jim arrives with news that he was evicted and he's moving in.

Pete is going door to door trying to sell knives. He realizes after a few houses that people aren't interested, so he changes his plan of action and he hopes using Pete Jr. to give people guilt trips will be more advantageous.

8. Sleepy Time

In an attempt to lure Audrey, the hot social services rep, back to his house, Pete puts the kids to sleep, sets a romantic setting and calls in a fake report.

7. Dinner Date

Pete wants to ask his boss, Steve, for a raise. The guys invite him over for dinner, but unfortunately, their attempt to be hospitable is badly misinterpreted.

Pete and Brian are trying to unwind by finger painting with the kids when Jim stops by to share his idea for a new money-making scheme: Self Defense Classes for Dogs.

While Brian is off at his single moms support group, Pete is at home waiting for his date. He's surprised to find the sexy social security representative, Audrey, at the door wondering why his babies are locked in the car.

Pete goes off to his job as a door to door knife salesman. Brian is at home taking care of the kids when Pete's dad Jim stops by with some parenting advice.
