In "Once Bitten," Sandy Cheeks, the resident scientist of Bikini Bottom, has developed a new serum that can turn anyone into a monster. While testing the serum on herself, Sandy accidentally scratches SpongeBob, turning him into a werewolf-like creature. SpongeBob starts to wreak havoc all over town, scaring his friends and causing destruction wherever he goes.

Panicked, Sandy rushes to find a cure for the serum. She eventually discovers that the only way to reverse the effects is for SpongeBob to be kissed by a human. Sandy manages to track down a human, but he turns out to be a lifeguard who has never kissed anyone before. After several attempts, SpongeBob finally receives a kiss, turning him back to his normal self.
