StarBeam Season 3 Episode 4 Goopy Lunch

StarBeam is an animated show on Netflix that follows Zoey, a kindergartener, who transforms into a superhero named StarBeam whenever there is trouble in the city. In season 3, episode 4 titled Goopy Lunch, Zoey’s day at school doesn't go as planned and she ends up having to save the day in a different way than she's used to.

The episode starts with Zoey getting ready for school and packing her lunch. She wants to impress her classmates with her fun lunch, but she gets so caught up in the planning that she forgets to actually pack anything substantial to eat. When she opens her lunchbox at school, she's disappointed to find only a few baby carrots and a jar of honey. Her classmates tease her for her strange lunch, and Zoey feels embarrassed.

During recess, Zoey meets up with her friend Kiki and vent about the embarrassing lunch. But as they're talking, they see that something strange is going on at the school’s garden. All the vegetables are getting covered in a sticky, pink goop that smells terrible. Kiki suggests they call StarBeam, but since Zoey is not in her uniform, they decide to investigate the problem on their own.

As they explore the garden, they find out that the goop is coming from an alien creature that is eating all the vegetables in sight. Zoey and Kiki try to stop it but the creature is too powerful for them. Just as they're about to give up, StarBeam appears and helps them. But, unlike previous episodes, StarBeam's powers don't work very well on the goopy creature. They realize that the creature is actually an endangered species and needs to be saved.

Zoey and Kiki come up with a plan to lure the creature away from the garden by using Zoey’s honey jar. They slowly lead the creature away but it gets trickier as they get deeper into the city, with StarBeam having to use all her powers to keep up with the creature. The chase finally ends when they lead the creature into a field with plenty of vegetables for it to eat. The creature transforms into a butterfly and flies away, leaving the girls feeling proud of their accomplishment.

Back at school, Zoey’s classmates are still making fun of her lunch. Zoey is upset but she remembers how they were there for her when the creature attacked, so she doesn’t mind as much anymore. She has a fun idea to share with her classmates- to have a picnic with the vegetables saved from the creature. Everyone loves the idea, and Zoey feels happy that she’s part of the fun for a change.

The episode ends with Zoey writing in her diary about her adventure and the lesson she learned- sometimes, things don't go as planned, but that doesn't mean you can't find a new way to succeed. She feels proud of herself for saving the day in her own way, and for standing up to her classmates without getting upset. With StarBeam by her side, she can tackle any challenge that comes her way.
