During class, Shi Miao finds out that Wu Yi is in the same class as Shi Fen. She purposely switches seats with Wu Yi so she can sit next to her beloved brother, but he is not amused. Students begin to make fun of Wu Yi's appearance and Shi Fen steps in to defend her, earning her respect and admiration.

Later on, Shi Miao takes Wu Yi to lunch where they bond over their love for a particular dish. However, their conversation is interrupted by Shi Fen and his new friend, the school rebel Mishao. Shi Fen offers to help Mishao cheat on a test but she refuses, claiming that she does not need his help. Wu Yi is impressed by Mishao's confidence and even Shi Fen is taken aback by her fearlessness.

Back at home, Shi Miao tries to playfully tease Shi Fen but is met with indifference. Their parents come home and announce that they will be going on a weeklong business trip, leaving the siblings alone at home. Shi Fen is given the responsibility of taking care of his younger sister while their parents are away.

The episode ends with Shi Fen and Shi Miao sitting on the rooftop, watching a beautiful sunset. Shi Fen reveals that he is worried about failing as the head of the household while their parents are gone. Shi Miao comforts her big brother, telling him that she will always be there for him.
