Ep 10. Only You

The Americans is a suspenseful drama set during the Cold War in the 1980s. The show follows two KGB spies, Elizabeth and Philip Jennings, who are posing as a married couple in the suburbs of Washington D.C. Elizabeth and Philip know they're putting themselves and their children at risk, but they feel they have no choice.

The mission goes smoothly at first, as Elizabeth and Philip successfully break into the facility and locate the radiation sensor. However, things take a turn for the worse when they're confronted by the facility's security guard. In a tense showdown, Elizabeth and Philip struggle to subdue the guard without killing him. They manage to knock him out, but not before he sounds the alarm.

With the facility now on high alert, Elizabeth and Philip race to escape before the FBI arrives. They manage to slip out just in time, but not before Elizabeth sustains a serious injury. Back at home, Philip tends to her wounds and they both realize the dangerous situation they've put themselves and their family in.

Paige is still suspicious of her parents and decides to do some investigating on her own. She follows her father to a seedy motel, where he meets with Gregory. Paige confronts them both and demands to know what's going on. After some initial resistance, Philip finally reveals the truth to his daughter, that he and Elizabeth are Soviet spies. Paige is stunned and unsure of how to react.

As the episode comes to a close, Elizabeth and Philip wonder what the future holds for them and their family. They have put everything on the line for their cause, and now they must face the consequences of their actions. Only You is a heart-pounding episode that examines the moral complexities of espionage and the toll it takes on those who choose to serve their country in secret.
