The Cool Kids were up to their mischievous ways again in episode 5 of season 1, titled "The Cool Kids Rig an Election."
Hank, Charlie, Margaret, and Sid were all excited about the upcoming election for the president of the Shady Meadows retirement community. However, they soon realized that the current president, Jerry, was not a great leader and they wanted to make sure he didn't win re-election.
Charlie had the idea to rig the election in their favor, but the rest of the group was hesitant at first. However, they eventually agreed to go along with it after realizing just how bad Jerry was for the community.
Together, they came up with a plan to rig the ballots by stuffing the ballot box with extra votes. They even went as far as to dress up in disguises and sneak into the community center where the boxes were being held.
Things took a turn when their plan was almost foiled by their arch-nemesis, a resident named Floyd who was a staunch supporter of Jerry. It looked like their plan was going to fail, but they quickly came up with a backup plan.
In the end, the Cool Kids were successful in their mission and their preferred candidate won the election. However, they realized that the ends didn't justify the means and they owned up to their actions and apologized to the community.
Overall, "The Cool Kids Rig an Election" was a hilarious and entertaining episode that showcased the mischievous and often misguided antics of our favorite group of seniors. It also served as a reminder that honesty and integrity should always come first, even in the pursuit of a worthy goal.
