The Liar and His Lover is a Korean drama series that aired in 2017. So Rim ends up walking out on the band and is left feeling lost and alone. She runs into Han Kyeol outside the rehearsal studio and they have a heart-to-heart conversation about their respective struggles.

Later on in the episode, Han Kyeol decides to take matters into his own hands and puts on a surprise performance for his father in an effort to prove himself as a talented musician. The performance is a heartfelt rendition of his own song, which leaves his father impressed and recognizing his son's potential.
