Maria becomes a sensation on social media after her impromptu performance in the hospital, but her success is short-lived as the video also attracts the attention of charlatan producer Ligia Mayer, who wants to sign Maria to a contract with disastrous terms. As a result, Maria is forced to put her musical dream on hold and continue with her studies.

Flash forward 17 years and Maria is now a successful, talented songwriter living in Miami. She is recognized for her talent and her songs are played on the radio. However, a chance encounter with Ligia brings back the painful memories of the past and Maria decides to return to Colombia to seek revenge against the woman who destroyed her dreams.

Upon arriving in Colombia, Maria is confronted with the realities of her past - from her strained relationship with her mother to the dismal conditions of the neighborhood she grew up in. Her journey to seek revenge is complicated by the presence of her childhood friend, Juancho, who takes it upon himself to show Maria the beauty of her neighborhood and remind her of what really matters in life.

With the help of Juancho and her newfound friends, Maria begins to reconnect with her roots and rediscover her passion for music. Armed with her guitar and her undeniable talent, she starts making her way back to the top, but not without facing challenges along the way. The episode ends with Maria performing one of her original songs in a local bar, receiving widespread support from the crowd and a newfound sense of inspiration and purpose.
