Watch Outlander

Outlander is a British and American television show that began airing in 2014. It is based on the popular series of novels, also called Outlander, by historical fiction author Diana Gabaldon. The series stars Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Tobias Menzies, Graham McTavish, Duncan Lacroix, and Grant O'Rourke, as well as Stephen Walters. The series aired on Starz which also backed and developed the project. Gabaldon is also a paid adviser who works with the production crew and also has journeyed to the set many times to ensure creative fidelity to her original source material.

The plot of the TV show revolves around a young nurse named Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) who lives in the 1940s during the ravished and war torn times of World War II. She finds herself magically transported to civil war era Scotland in 1743. There she meets the dashing and charming Scottish war hero Jaime Fraser (Sam Heughan).
