Ep 3. Bottom Bitch

Vic Mackey and his strike team are back in action in The Shield season 3 episode 3, titled "Bottom Bitch." This episode focuses on the gang activity in the Farmington district and how Vic and his team try to bring them down.

The episode begins with a meeting between the Barn detectives and the DA's office, where they discuss the recent gang activity in the area. There has been an uptick in violence and the DA wants the Barn to provide some solutions. Vic, as always, takes the lead in the matter and promises to take care of it.

Meanwhile, Strike Team member Shane has been acting as a liaison between a high-end escort agency and his friend Antwon Mitchell, who is currently behind bars. He's been using the agency to launder money for Antwon's drug operation. However, when one of the girls is found dead in a dumpster, Shane realizes that he may have gotten in too deep.

Vic and the team decide to use this opportunity to get more information on Antwon and his operation. They use a wire on Shane to try and get him to talk to Antwon about the girl's death. However, things quickly go awry when Shane realizes he's being recorded. He flips out and destroys the wire, putting himself in danger and likely alerting Antwon to their investigation.

Throughout the episode, we also see the personal lives of the members of the team. Vic is dealing with some marital issues and trying to balance his work life with his family life. David Aceveda is also facing some personal issues, as he is dealing with the aftermath of his sexual assault from earlier in the season.

As usual, the tension and the stakes are high in "Bottom Bitch." We see the Strike Team try to skirt the boundaries of the law to get what they want, and the consequences of those actions. At the same time, we see the team's vulnerability and their struggle to balance their work with their personal lives.

Overall, "Bottom Bitch" is a gritty and intense episode that showcases the best and worst of The Shield's characters. It's a must-watch for fans of the series and anyone who enjoys tense police dramas.
