Host Jesse Palmer tasks the bakers with creating a visually stunning 3D chocolate sculptural piece along with a baked element that not only complements but is directly inspired by the theme and design of their chocolate creation. The chefs must demonstrate both technical precision and creative storytelling, balancing structural ambition with exquisite taste. To evaluate their work, chocolatier and pastry icon Amaury Guichon returns to the judging panel alongside Duff Goldman, ensuring that every detail, from craftsmanship to concept, meets the highest standards of chocolate artistry.

Host Jesse Palmer challenges the seven remaining chefs to find inspiration in an unlikely place -- a gas station snack aisle. The bakers must choose from a carousel of grab-and-go snacks, like cream-filled mini cakes, cheese crackers, honey buns, and peanut butter pretzels, to inspire their next creation. Then, in the master challenge, the chefs take on a classic dessert, like an opera cake or a Sachertorte, and reinterpret it through their own unique lens for judges Duff Goldman and Zac Young.

Host Jesse Palmer divides the eight remaining chefs into teams to craft exquisite laminated dough pastries worthy of display in a world-class patisserie case. Each pastry case must feature a mix of sweet and savory items and colorful decor that shows off their creativity. Collaboration is key, but every chef carries the individual responsibility of making one sweet and one savory pastry to complete their team's stunning, cohesive collection. The bottom team will be up for elimination, and judges Duff Goldman and Bryan Ford decide which chef will leave the kitchen.

The bakers are randomly assigned one of three indulgent desserts -- Boston cream pie, coconut cream pie, or Italian rum cake -- and must craft their own interpretation of the classic dessert for presentation to judges Duff Goldman and Shinmin Li.

In the skills challenge, host Jesse Palmer asks the 10 remaining chefs to reinvent a classic, recognizable dessert, such as strawberry shortcake or s'mores, by giving it a modern, science-driven twist. Then, for the master challenge, the chefs turn their focus to a dessert that is modern and trendy -- a geometric layered mousse cake. To impress judges Duff Goldman and Amaury Guichon, the bakers must craft a layered mousse cake inspired by an assigned conceptual theme such as "smoky and mysterious" or "bright and citrusy."
