  • March 2, 2016

The World's Greatest Tribute Bands is back with its fifth season, and in episode three, we're treated to 'The Neil Deal,' a tribute to Neil Young & CSN.

The show, hosted by Katie Daryl, features some of the best tribute bands from around the world, each emulating the spirit and sound of renowned bands. In this episode, the Neil Deal takes the stage, paying homage to the iconic musician, Neil Young, and his band members, David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash.

The Neil Deal's frontman, Randy Linder, is a renowned Neil Young tribute artist who has previously performed in the show's earlier seasons. In this episode, he is joined by the talented musicians, Jeff Ebbage, AJ Gonzales, and Danny Wilde, who portray David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash, respectively.

The show starts with a bang as the band kicks off with the classic, 'Ohio,' Neil Young's protest song that is still relevant today. The energy and spirit of the band's performance are infectious, and the audience can't help but groove to the music. As the band moves on to 'Almost Cut My Hair,' we see why the Neil Deal is one of the best tribute bands out there. The harmonies are on point, and each musician plays their part with precision and flair.

The show takes a mellower turn as the Neil Deal starts a medley of Crosby, Stills & Nash hits. 'Helplessly Hoping,' 'Teach Your Children,' and 'Our House' take the audience back to the heyday of the band, and it's clear that the Neil Deal has studied every note, chord, and harmony perfectly.

The band takes a break from CSN to play some of Neil Young's solo hits. 'Old Man' and 'Heart of Gold' get the audience singing along, and Randy Linder channels Neil Young's vocals and guitar riffs perfectly. The band's renditions are so outstanding that one might forget that they are not watching the original artists.

The Neil Deal then moves on to some of CSN's lesser-known songs, such as 'Change Partners' and 'Dark Star.' But even with the deeper cuts, the band delivers with authenticity and conviction.

The highlight of the show comes towards the end when the Neil Deal plays the iconic 'Suite: Judy Blue Eyes.' The folksy melodies, the harmonies, and the intricate guitar work are breathtaking, and the Neil Deal delivers an unforgettable performance of the song, earning a standing ovation from the audience.

The show comes to a close with the Neil Deal's rendition of 'Woodstock,' another classic song that encapsulates the spirit of the 60s and 70s. The band's performance oozes with passion, and it's clear that they have a deep respect for the artists they are paying tribute to.

Overall, 'The Neil Deal' is an outstanding tribute to Neil Young, David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash. The Neil Deal's Randy Linder and his bandmates do an excellent job of recreating the music, the harmonies, and the spirit of the legendary musicians, leaving the audience mesmerized and wanting more.
