Ep 1. Black Blood

Troy: Fall of a City is a dramatic 8-part series that tells the story of the epic war between Troy and Sparta, focusing on the love affair between prince Paris of Troy and the Spartan queen Helen, which leads to a brutal ten-year siege of the city.

The first episode, titled "Black Blood," begins with the gods looking down upon the earth, watching as the city of Troy celebrates a harvest festival. Among the revelers is Paris, the youngest son of King Priam, who is having a strange vision of a black wolf chasing him through the fields. Meanwhile, Hector, Paris' older brother, is busy preparing for battle against their arch-rivals, the Greeks. Hector is married to Andromache, who is pregnant with their first child, and the two share a tender moment as they discuss the future of their family.

The scene then shifts to Sparta, where Queen Helen is being prepared for her wedding to King Menelaus. Although Helen is beautiful and well-loved by her people, she is unhappy with her arranged marriage and longs for something more. Her longing is noticed by an old woman who tells her that she will one day feel true love, but that it will come at a great cost.

Back in Troy, Paris is still haunted by his vision and seeks the advice of a priestess who tells him that it is a sign of impending doom. She also reveals that he is the chosen one, destined to bring about the fall of Troy. Paris is conflicted by this news and seeks solace in the arms of a young woman named Oenone, who is in love with him.

As tensions rise between Troy and Sparta, a group of Spartan soldiers led by Odysseus arrive at the gates of Troy to negotiate a peace treaty. King Priam welcomes them to his palace and invites them to a feast, where the tension between the two sides is palpable. Odysseus is skeptical of the Trojans and warns his men to be on guard, while Paris becomes infatuated with Helen as soon as he meets her.

Later that night, Paris and Helen meet secretly and confess their love for each other. Helen tells Paris that she will run away with him to Troy, but warns him of the consequences of their actions. Meanwhile, Hector and his army move to intercept a group of Greek soldiers who are approaching the city. The two sides clash in a bloody battle, and Hector emerges victorious.

The episode ends with Helen returning to Sparta and realizing the gravity of her actions. She sees the destruction that her love has caused and the danger that her people now face. Paris, on the other hand, is conflicted but still determined to be with his love. The stage is set for a fierce and epic battle between Greece and Troy, with the fate of both kingdoms hanging in the balance.
