Ep 8. We Know the Way Out

In Trying season 1 episode 8, titled "We Know the Way Out," Nikki and Jason run into some unexpected obstacles as they try to become parents. After their first round of IVF is unsuccessful, they turn to adoption as another option. However, they soon discover that the adoption process is not as easy as they thought it would be.

Nikki and Jason meet with various adoption agencies, fill out countless forms, and attend information sessions, but they keep getting rejected. It seems like every time they think they've found a way to make adoption work for them, they hit another roadblock. They even consider adopting internationally, but that plan falls through as well.

The couple's frustrations mount as they face the harsh reality that there are so many couples out there who want to adopt and so few children available for adoption. They begin to wonder if they will ever be able to start a family.

Meanwhile, their friends Erica and Freddy are dealing with their own struggles. Erica is pregnant, but she and Freddy are worried that they won't be able to provide for their new family. They begin to explore the idea of moving out of London, but that prospect comes with its own set of challenges.

As Nikki and Jason deal with their disappointment and try to figure out what their next step should be, they're forced to confront the fact that their dream of becoming parents may not be possible. It's a heartbreaking realization, but they try to stay positive and remind each other that they're in this together.

Despite the setbacks and the uncertainty of their future, Nikki and Jason continue to support each other and hold onto the hope that they will one day have a family of their own.
