Tuca & Bertie season 1 episode 2 is named "The Promotion." In this episode, we find our two main characters, Tuca and Bertie, grappling with workplace politics and striving to attain professional success in their respective careers.

Bertie receives a sudden promotion at her publishing job, but her excitement is quickly dampened when she realizes that she will be working alongside her demanding and critical boss, Pastry Pete. Tuca, on the other hand, is dealing with the swirling rumors and gossip around her in the office; everyone seems to be talking about whether she is sleeping with her boss, Speckle.

As Bertie tries to impress Pastry Pete and keep up with her newfound responsibilities, she discovers that the promotion comes with a lot more stress and pressure than she anticipated. Meanwhile, Tuca tries to navigate the uncomfortable attention she is receiving from her colleagues, all while dealing with her own feelings of inadequacy and uncertainty.

Throughout the episode, we see the two friends support each other as they try to navigate the challenges of their working lives. Bertie finds herself struggling to maintain a balanced work and personal life, and turns to Tuca for guidance and support. Tuca, in turn, confides in Bertie about her fears and insecurities around her job and the rumors circulating about her.

Despite facing numerous setbacks and obstacles, both Tuca and Bertie ultimately triumph in their own ways. Bertie learns to confront her fears and stand up for herself, while Tuca finds comfort in her friendship with Bertie and a newfound sense of confidence in her own abilities.

"The Promotion" is a relatable and heartfelt portrayal of the struggles many of us face in our own workplaces. With its unique blend of humor and emotion, it is a standout episode in an already excellent season of Tuca & Bertie.
