Wild About Animals is a family documentary series that first started to come out in 1995. Wild About Animals features a range of animals from all over the world, and shows them behaving in the wild. Each episode of Wild About Animals explores a different topic. Some of these topics may include things like different animals of the same type, animals that live in the same kind of environment, or animals that happen to live in the same area. The show offers information about the behavior, diet, and range of the animals, and also talks about important concepts such as conservation. Wild About Animals had a sixty episode run with new episodes come out as late as 2014. The show is hosted by Mariette Hartley. Mariette Hartley appears alongside many of the animals as they are being filmed in the wild, and in other cases she acts as a narrator for the animals being filmed with no humans visible on screen. Each episode of Wild About Animals is cut to run during a thirty minute American television slot.
