Young & Hungry Season 4 Episode 6 Young & Assistant

Josh has been working as an assistant to Gabi, but he's not too thrilled about it. Gabi, on the other hand, is ecstatic to have him around. When she learns that Josh is planning to quit, Gabi schemes to keep him around by giving him a promotion she knows he won't be able to resist. Meanwhile, Elliot and Yolanda go to extreme lengths to make a good impression on their new boss, Karen.

The episode starts with Gabi and Josh already working together. Gabi is excited to have Josh as her assistant, but Josh is less thrilled about being a personal assistant to his best friend's girlfriend. He tells Gabi that he's been offered a job at a big tech company and is planning on quitting. Gabi is devastated, but tries to hide her disappointment by suggesting that they have a celebratory dinner.

At the dinner, Gabi drinks a little too much and accidentally reveals to Josh that she's been keeping tabs on him. She knows that he's been struggling with his new job and that he misses cooking. Gabi suggests that they work together on a new recipe, but Josh brushes her off, saying that he needs to focus on his new job.

The next day, Gabi comes up with a plan to keep Josh from quitting. She offers him a promotion to be her sous chef, which entails doing all the grocery shopping and prep work for her cooking show. Josh is hesitant at first, but Gabi convinces him that it will be a great opportunity for him to get back into cooking.

Meanwhile, Elliot and Yolanda are trying to make a good impression on their new boss, Karen. They learn that she's a germaphobe, so they go to extreme lengths to stay clean and avoid getting fired. They wear hazmat suits to work and even have a designated "germ-free" zone in the office.

The day of the cooking show arrives and Josh is feeling confident about his new role as sous chef. However, things quickly take a turn for the worse when Gabi accidentally drops a knife on his foot. Josh is forced to go to the hospital, leaving Gabi scrambling to find a replacement sous chef for the show.

Elliot and Yolanda see this as their opportunity to impress Karen, so they volunteer to be Gabi's sous chefs. Their plan seems to be working until Elliot accidentally sneezes on the food, causing Karen to freak out and fire Gabi.

Later that night, Gabi and Josh make up and Josh decides to stay on as her assistant. Gabi is over the moon, but Josh warns her not to get too excited, as he will still be looking for other job opportunities.

Overall, Young & Assistant is a fun episode that showcases the comedic talents of the entire cast. Gabi and Josh's relationship is the highlight of the episode, with their back-and-forth banter providing plenty of laughs and heartwarming moments. The subplot with Elliot and Yolanda also adds some humor to the episode, with their extreme cleanliness and silly antics providing a nice contrast to Gabi and Josh's more grounded storyline.
