Members of the Tanner family are back to show the love they have for the oldest sister, DJ Tanner-Fuller. The storyline is similar to the original series. DJ is a widow and has three children. She moves back into the family's home where her father, uncle Jesse, aunt Becky and family friend Joey work together to help her raise her children. DJ's sister, Stephanie, and DJ's best friend, Kimmy, are also along for the ride.

DJ finds that life as a single mother is a little too much to handle, so she enlists everyone to help her. They don't plan on moving back into the home at first, but they soon see that it's the best thing to do so that they can show support for DJ and her children. While there are laughs through the show, there are also some emotional moments as DJ tries dating again and tries to explain to her children why their father isn't with them.
