This documentary tells the life story of boxer Manny Pacquiao, who despite being born into poverty during civil strife in the Philippines in 1978, manages to succeed in the world of professional boxing, turning pro at the tender age of 16. After arriving in the United States and training for less than two weeks under coach Freddie Roach, Pacquiao wins the first of many fights. The film covers his rise to become one of the most popular professional boxers in the world and a national hero in his native Philippines.
