The Three Stooges is the biography of the famous comedy trio the Three Stooges. The story is told through the eyes of the oldest Howard brother Moe. He walks you through their rise to fame, through their Brownsville act to their movies short. Moe Howard's story shows you the tragedy he and his brothers went through in the world of slapstick comedy. Even after his two brothers died Moe still tried to keep the Three Stooge act going. Sadly, Moe Howard ended working as a studio hand because he needed the money. It was only when The Three Stooges Movies came out that the money started coming in.
Madness, I tell you. That's what sorting through the most recent casting announcements has been. Epic madness. -Jennifer Hudson will join Larry David and Jane Lynch in playing a nun for the Farrelly brothers' "Three Stooges" adaptation, according to Deadline. Everything about this movie is the silliest. Let's hope Hudson, a former "American Idol" contestant and Academy Award winner(!) for her role in "Dreamgirls," gets to belt a tune or two during the film.
There's creative casting, and then there's this: Larry David will be playing Mother Mengele in "The Three Stooges." Yes, that means a Jewish man will be playing a Catholic nun. Comedy gold! Larry David is a co-creator of "Seinfeld" and the star of the HBO comedy series "Curb Your Enthusiasm." The success and overall hilariousness of "Curb" has really raised David's profile over the past five or so years, and he has since starred in a Woody Allen film ("Whatever Works").
