What's Your Number?

What's Your Number? is a romantic comedy movie that was written by Gabrielle Allen and Jennifer Crittenden, based upon a novel by Karyn Bosnak. Directed by Mark Mylod, the film was produced by Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson, featuring Anna Faris and Chris Evans. The story follows Ally Darling (played by Anna Faris) who is horrified to learn that she has had more than double the average number of romantic partners that most women have had. As a result, she is desperate to make sure that her next partner winds up becoming her husband.

She is then fired at a marketing job that she despises. That night, her lecherous boss (played by Joel McHale) hits on her. They get drunk and she spends the night with him. She hastily tries to get rid of him the next morning. Her neighbor saves her by ringing her doorbell, just in time.

It is clear to Ally that she must really concentrate on turning her life around. She reviews all of her prior relationships, trying to figure out what went wrong. Then she launches a plan to meet up with all of them once more to see if she can rekindle any old flames and turn lemons into lemonade.

She goes through a serious of hilarious episodes as she is reminded of just why her old relationships did not work out in the first place. Her neighbor buddies up to help her find the guys, until he discovers he wants her for himself. This is also a surprise to him since he is essentially a playboy himself.

After that realization, he begins to sabotage her efforts by blocking some calls to her. She ultimately does meet one guy who seems to really be the one. But as time goes on, it is clear that he is not the man of her dreams. She finally realizes that her buddy is the one for her and bares her soul in public to win his love.
