Captain America: The Winter Soldier
"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" is the 2014 sequel to Marvel Studios' 2011 blockbuster hit, "Captain America: The First Avenger;" both movies star Chris Evans as the title superhero alongside Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson. The Captain America films are part of the ever expanding universe of movies surrounding the team of superheroes called The Avengers, based on the famous Marvel Comics of the same names. This time around, Captain America joins the Black Widow to face down the assassin known as The Winter Soldier and unearth a conspiracy within the ranks of the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization. The events of this film take place two years after the "Avengers" movie, and it sees Steve Rogers, Captain America, working solidly for Nick Fury, the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Rogers is sent on a mission with Agent Romanoff, the Black Widow, to spearhead a counter-terrorism strike team in rescuing hostages from a band of mercenaries. Still trying to get a grasp of the modern world, Rogers is thrust into an intricate plot of deception where he is branded a traitor; not knowing who he can trust, he must discover the truth, expose the traitors to the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization, and learn the identity of his new rival, the Winter Soldier.
