Akashdeep is a social Hindi drama that takes a hard look at a troubled family's life. After dropping out of school to help take care of the family, the oldest son of an alcoholic father suddenly finds himself head of the household when father dies. Against the resistance of his uncle and his struggles to take care of those he loves, the young man works hard to rise above his father's legacy of pain. He works a variety of odd jobs, buys a mill and through his own ingenuity, becomes a wealthy businessman his father could be proud of.
