This 2008 comedy film takes place over a mere twenty-four hours. It was shot and is set in Los Angeles. The cast features big name leads such as Rob Schneider, Michael Clarke Duncan, Ron Livingston, and Jennifer Esposito. Each plays a character with an odd agenda, who will experience the craziest, most life-altering twenty-four hours of their lives. Although the story lines begin separately, they wind and twist into each other, crossing in surprising and unexpected ways. Regular-guy Bill (Rob Schneider) is being treated to a bachelor party by his silver-tongued friend Johnny (Ron Livingston), but Johnny's seemingly generous party plans are not what they appear to be. Bill's bride-to-be, Olivia (played by Amanda Demeter), is planning her own wild night. Jennifer Esposito plays Carlos, who is searching for four men who violated her in Cuba when she was young. Michael Clarke Duncan plays her partner, Spinks. As we follow this widely varied cast, we run into pornographers buying slightly underage girls, a prostitute transvestite searching for re-assignment surgery, a rape victim and her partner wreaking revenge on her attackers, a group of strippers, a gay bar full of life lessons, and happily shooting ex-convict. When their lives collide, the results lead to off-the-wall-sex, imaginative death scenes, an an altogether wild ride. The body count rises as the night wears on, but the comedy permeates to the end. The final confrontation is a high-powered scene on a rooftop. Directed by film and television actor Craig Sheffer (who also wrote the screenplay), this dark, ironic comedy features implied sex and some violence. This movie was Craig Sheffer's first full-length film. The film runs at one hour and thirty-eight minutes. The opening voice-over quote is from Sir Walter Scott, but is incorrectly attributed to William Shakespeare.
