Annabelle: Creation is a 2017 supernatural horror movie directed by David F. Sandberg, and it serves as both a prequel and the fourth movie in The Conjuring film series. The movie stars Anthony LaPaglia, Samara Lee, and Miranda Otto, among others. The movie takes place in the 1950s and follows a doll maker named Samuel Mullins, played by Anthony LaPaglia, and his wife Esther, played by Miranda Otto, as they welcome a group of young orphan girls and their chaperone into their home. The girls are seeking refuge after the closure of their orphanage, which was run by Sister Charlotte, played by Stephanie Sigman.

One of the girls, Janice, played by Talitha Bateman, is recovering from polio and is unable to move around easily. She finds solace in Samuel's daughter, Bee, played by Samara Lee, who shows her kindness and takes Janice to her room to play with her toys. During one of their visits, Bee gives Janice a doll that was made by Samuel, which draws the attention of the other girls in the house. The doll, named Annabelle, soon begins to cause strange and terrifying occurrences in the house, making the girls believe that it is possessed.

As the movie progresses, the girls discover the dark secrets that the Mullins family has been hiding and come to the realization that Annabelle is not just any ordinary doll. Sister Charlotte and the girls soon learn that the house is cursed, and that Samuel and Esther made a deal with a demon to bring Bee back to life. The demon, however, takes over Bee's body and demands that the Mullins family provide it with more souls in exchange for keeping Bee alive.

The movie is a rollercoaster ride of scares and suspense, with expertly crafted jump scares that will leave viewers on the edge of their seats. The acting is superb, with Anthony LaPaglia giving a standout performance as the grieving father trying to save his family from the evil that he unleashed. Samara Lee is also excellent as the seemingly innocent Bee whose true nature is revealed as the movie progresses.

Annabelle: Creation successfully builds on the mythology of the The Conjuring universe, adding further depth to the story and exploring the origins of one of the most iconic horror movie dolls. The cinematography is visually stunning, with the use of darkness and shadows to create an eerie atmosphere, and the soundtrack is expertly crafted to enhance the tension of every scene.

Overall, Annabelle: Creation is an excellent addition to The Conjuring series, and it is a must-watch for any horror movie fan. The movie is a masterclass in suspense and scares, with an expertly crafted story and outstanding performances. It is one of the best horror movies of 2017, and it will leave viewers wanting more.
