The Architect

The Architect is a drama film that was released in 2006. The Architect deals with an aging architect who is confronted by an activist over a housing complex that he had previously built. The activist accuses the architect of designing a building that had brought crime to the building and had destroyed much of the surrounding area. The activist desires to have the building torn down, and the architect has to confront the question of if he had in fact brought poverty to a huge number of people. Meanwhile, the architect also has to deal with questions about his legacy and family problems. The Architect was written by David Greig and Matt Tauber. The film was directed by Matt Tauber. The architect, who is named Leo Waters, is played by Anthony LaPaglia. The activist, who is named Tonya Neely, is played by Viola Davis. The film also features performances by Isabella Rossellini, Hayden Panettiere, and Sebastian Stan.
