Ator l'invincible is a 1990 Italian fantasy film directed by Joe D'Amato. The film stars Eric Allan Kramer as Ator, a skilled warrior who embarks on a dangerous quest to retrieve the mystical Nucleus of the Crystal Kingdom and save his people from an evil sorcerer. As the film opens, Ator is a young boy living in a peaceful village with his mother and father. But their idyllic existence is shattered when a group of raiders attack the village, killing Ator's father and abducting his mother. Ator vows to rescue his mother and avenge his father's death, and he spends years training in the wilderness and honing his fighting skills.

When Ator finally sets out on his quest, he finds himself battling all manner of monsters and evil sorcerers, including the wicked Akron, who has stolen the Nucleus of the Crystal Kingdom and plans to use its power to rule the world. Along the way, Ator is aided by various companions, including a fierce warrior woman named Roon and a wise old wizard named Griba.

Together, Ator and his friends face down Akron's armies, overcome deadly traps and deadly beasts, and eventually confront the sorcerer himself in a final battle for the fate of the kingdom. Ator's love for his mother and his determination to save his people drive him forward, and his courage and skill in battle make him an unstoppable force for good.

Ator l'invincible is a classic example of the Italian sword-and-sorcery genre, which was popular in the 1980s and early 1990s. The film features a mix of action, adventure, and fantasy elements, with plenty of combat scenes, exotic locations, and fantastical creatures. It also has a certain campy charm that is typical of many low-budget Italian exploitation films of the era.

The film is notable for its lead actor, Eric Allan Kramer, who would go on to greater fame as the dad in the hit TV show Good Luck Charlie. Kramer brings a physicality and charisma to the role of Ator, and his impressive physique and martial-arts skills make him a convincing action hero. Margaret Lenzey is also memorable as Roon, a strong, independent woman who fights alongside Ator and proves herself his equal in battle.

Another highlight of the film is its music, which was composed by Carlo Maria Cordio. The film's main theme is a rousing, synth-heavy piece that perfectly captures the adventurous spirit of the story. Cordio's score adds greatly to the film's atmosphere, and is a key element in its appeal to fans of the sword-and-sorcery genre.

Despite its many strengths, Ator l'invincible is not a perfect film. Its low budget is evident in many of the special effects, which range from the mediocre to the downright laughable. The film's script also suffers from some awkward dialogue and pacing issues, which can make it feel slow or stilted at times. And while the film's action scenes are generally well-staged, they can also be repetitive and predictable.

Still, Ator l'invincible remains a fun and entertaining fantasy-adventure film that is sure to appeal to fans of the sword-and-sorcery genre. Its mix of action, adventure, and fantasy elements, coupled with its memorable cast and catchy music, make it a cult classic that has stood the test of time. If you're looking for a cheesy but enjoyable movie with plenty of sword-fighting, monsters, and magic, Ator l'invincible should definitely be on your watch list.
