Austin Powers in Goldmember is a raunchy comedy movie starring British spy Austin Powers and his quest to stop Dr. Evil. Dr. Evil(Mike Myers) has an elaborate plan of going back and kidnapping a scientist Johan van der Smut(Mike Myers) also known as "Goldmember" to build a cold fusion laser to cause global flooding. Before he can go through his plan, Austin Powers(Mike Myers) busts him. Dr. Evil and Mini-Me(Verne Troyer) are arrested and Austin is knighted. He is upset that his famous father Nigel Powers(Michael Caine) did not show up. He further investigates and finds that he has been kidnapped. Austin goes to see Dr. Evil and finds out that he will need to travel back in time to find Goldmember.

He travels back and meets up with Foxxy Cleopatra(Beyonce Knowles). The two of them are unsuccessful in rescuing his dad. Foxxy decides to come back with Austin in pursuing Goldmember. In the meantime, Dr. Evil and Mini-Me escapes and heads to Japan to another secret hideout. Austine and Foxxy run into and defeat Fat Bastard(Mike Myers), one of Dr. Evil's agents. He tells them of Dr. Roboto(Nobu Matsuhisa).

They confront Dr. Roboto, but he claims he knows nothing of where the agent's father is. Austin and Foxxy break into the factory revealing the laser has been built and Goldmember is there. Austin spots his father and frees him, but in the process Goldmember escapes. While all this is happening Dr. Evil's son Scott(Seth Green) is becoming more and more like his father. Dr. Evil swaps Mini-Me with Scott.

Feeling rejected Mini-Me joins Austin in defeating Dr. Evil and Goldmember. Just when Austin has Dr. Evil, his father appears and tells him that he and Dr. Evil are brothers. They were separated when their mother was killed. Together they defeat Goldmember. Scott vows vengeance on Austin.
