Awara is a 2012 Bengali romantic drama film directed by Ravi Kinnagi and stars Jeet, Sayantika Banerjee, and Mukul Dev in lead roles. The movie centres around a young man named Abhimanyu Roy, known as Abhi, who is a carefree and happy-go-lucky guy with a heart of gold. He lives in Kolkata with his family and works as a mechanic at his father's garage.

Abhi is constantly on the lookout for a girl to fall in love with, and his life takes a turn when he meets the beautiful and spirited heiress of a wealthy business tycoon, Shruti. As they spend more and more time together, Abhi falls madly in love with Shruti, but she is engaged to another man.

Shruti is engaged to the wealthy and arrogant businessman, Rishi, who is also Abhi's childhood friend. Rishi is not only wealthy, but he is also possessive and controlling. When Shruti gets engaged to him, she realises that she does not want to marry him and begins to have second thoughts.

Abhi, who is determined to win Shruti's heart, tries to convince her to cancel the wedding. However, Shruti remains torn between her love for Abhi and her family's expectations. Meanwhile, Rishi has other plans and does everything in his power to keep Shruti from leaving him.

As the story progresses, Abhi and Shruti's love story unfolds, while Rishi's attempts to sabotage their relationship become more aggressive. The three characters are trapped in a complicated love triangle, and Abhi must fight against all odds to win Shruti's heart and overcome all the challenges that come his way.

The movie also explores themes like family values, societal norms, and the power of true love. It showcases the challenges people face in choosing their own path, pursuing their dreams, and following their hearts.

The performances of the lead actors, Jeet and Sayantika Banerjee are highly commendable, with their on-screen chemistry being the highlight of the movie. Jeet portrays the character of Abhi with great finesse, injecting a sense of warmth, humour, and vulnerability into the character. Sayantika Banerjee, who plays the role of Shruti, beautifully depicts the complexities of a woman in love, torn between her heart and her family's expectations.

Mukul Dev, who essays the role of the antagonist Rishi, delivers an outstanding performance, making the audience despise his character for his manipulative and controlling behaviour.

Overall, Awara is a well-made movie with an engaging plot, strong performances, and an excellent soundtrack. It is a heart-warming and emotionally charged story that anyone can relate to, making it a must-watch for all romantic movie lovers.
