Body Bags is a horror anthology movie from 1993 directed by John Carpenter, Tobe Hooper, and Larry Sulkis. The film consists of three segments that are loosely linked together by John Carpenter playing a coroner presenting some of his most bizarre and gruesome cases. The first segment, directed by John Carpenter himself, is titled "The Gas Station". It tells the story of a young woman named Anne (Alex Datcher) who takes on a night shift at a gas station in the middle of nowhere. She has to deal with some creepy customers, including a seemingly harmless middle-aged man (played by Robert Carradine) who turns out to be a serial killer. As the night progresses, Anne finds herself in a battle for survival against the crazed man.

The second segment, directed by Tobe Hooper, is called "Hair". It stars Stacy Keach as Richard Coberts, a middle-aged man who is desperate to keep his receding hairline a secret from his much younger girlfriend Megan (played by Sheena Easton). Richard turns to a shady hair transplant clinic run by a sinister doctor (David Warner) who promises him a full head of hair. However, it soon becomes clear that the treatment is not what it seems, and Richard discovers that a healthy head of hair may not be worth the ultimate price.

The third and final segment, directed by Larry Sulkis and John Carpenter, is titled "Eye". It stars Mark Hamill as Brent Matthews, a baseball player who loses his eye in a car accident. Brent is given the opportunity to receive a cutting-edge eye transplant procedure that will allow him to see again, but his new eye comes with a dark and disturbing past. As Brent begins to see strange and terrifying visions, he realizes that the eye has belonged to a murderer who may be coming back to finish what he started.

Throughout the movie, John Carpenter appears as the crypt-keeper-esque coroner, introducing each segment with a macabre sense of humor. In addition to his hosting duties, Carpenter also provides the movie's haunting score, which adds to the eerie tone of the overall film.

Body Bags is an entertaining horror anthology that showcases the talents of three well-known directors. Although the segments vary in quality, each provides a unique and twisted take on classic horror themes such as killers on the loose, body horror, and supernatural visions. The film also boasts an impressive cast, including renowned horror icon Robert Carradine, as well as some surprising performances from non-horror actors like Sheena Easton and Mark Hamill.

While Body Bags may not be a classic horror movie, it is an enjoyable and often over-the-top romp through the horror genre. As a horror anthology, it offers a little something for everyone and is sure to satisfy fans of the genre.

Body Bags is a 1993 tv movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 34 minutes. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.2 and a MetaScore of 54.
