Big Trouble in Little China is a 1986 film which features the acting talents of Kurt Russell, Dennis Dun, and James Hong and begins with protagonists Jack and Wang heading to the airport to pick up Wang's fiance, Miao Yin. However, Miao is captured by the Lords of Death gang, who plan on trafficking her. Jack and Wang hunt them to Chinatown, finding themselves dealing in the middle of a war between the Chang Sing and Wing Kong groups. The Wing Kong break a funeral procession for the Chang Sing's leader, summoning a trio of warriors known as The Three Storms to stop the Chang Sing. While trying to escape, Jack flattens Lo Pan, sorcerer and leader of the Wing Kong, but Lo Pan is fine. Wang takes Jack to The Dragon of the Black Pool, a family eatery, and meets lawyer Gracie Law, Wang's friend Eddie, and magician Egg. They plan to sneak into a brothel where Miao is held. Jack looks through the place, but the Storms leave with Miao for the Wing Kong Exchange. Jack and Wang try to infiltrate, but are captured and interrogated by Lo Pan. Lo Pan explains that Miao is necessary for his immortality. Jack and Wang's friend try to break in, but wind up captured as well. Jack and Wang are celled, but ambush Thunder and escape to see Egg. Lo Pan realizes that Gracie would also work for his plan and decides to wed both women. Egg sneaks them into Lo Pan's HQ and gives them a potion. A huge fight breaks out, with Jack unconscious, and Wang kills Rain by sword. Jack winds up taking on Lo Pan while Wang battles Thunder. Jack fatally chucks a knife into Lo Pan's skull, with Thunder killing himself in failure. As the group makes their escape, Lightning gives chase until Egg slides a crushing statue at him.
