The beginning of the movie, Used Cars, is a owner of an used car lot getting killed. His cars were selling at reasonable rates, but the business continued to be unsuccessful. The deceased owner wanted to run for the senate when he was alive. An elderly person was going to invest $10,000 in the former owner's campaign because he wanted to keep the business alive. When the owner dies, the lot's salesman feels the need to save the business from going under. The state wants to put a highway in the location of the business. The lot would have to be destroyed for the business to go through. The customers of the property really like the salesman, and the business man wants to make sure the property doesn't go to the owner's brother because he's not a nice man. The brother is a rival of the deceased owner's business, and the brother decides to try to collect the insurance money on his 1957' Chevrolet Bel Air. He decides to hire an ex-demolition derby driver to try and wreck the car. The rival's business was located across the street from the deceased owner. The brother will be in the passenger seat when the hired person drives the person around. The hired person crashes into a lot, and the brother dies from a heart attack. There is evidence the accident was stage because Roy wanted the inheritance money. Jim and Jeff decide to assist with burying Luke in the backyard. They say that Luke went on a Miami vacation, but they know the reality is that he's dead. Rudy and his friends decide to make an illegal broadcast in the middle of the football game to get their point across. Jeff doesn't like the car that's on display at the game because it's red and brings bad luck. The other bad thing that happens during the game is that Margaret rips her dress in the car's hood. When this rip happens, the hood pops open.
