The owner hires one of the former baseball players known as Jimmy Dugan, who is played by actor Tom Hanks as the team’s manager. The four teams will go by the names the Rockford Peaches, Racine Bells, Kenosha Comets, and South Bend Blue Sox’s. In the movie, Rosie O’Donnell plays the role of third base player Doris Murphy; Megan Cavanaugh plays the role of second base player Marla Hooch; Geena Davis as the pitcher Dottie Hinson and her younger sister Kit Keller played by Lori Petty.
