Central Station is a dramatic film about the relationship between a young boy and a much older woman. Dora is a bitter woman who is struggling with her finances. She earns money by helping people write letters. Once day she meets Josue, a young boy. Josue’s mother uses Dora’s services and she gets to know them. One horrible day, Josue’s mother is killed in an accident. Dora tries to help Josue find adoptive parents but the people she leaves him with end up harming him. Wracked by guilt, Dora decides to help Josue find his long-lost father.

Dora and Josue must travel far to the northeast area of the country. Dora’s goal is to simply leave Josue with his father but on the way they have many adventures. They are picked up by a bus driver who tries to preach the gospel of Jesus to them. Dora tries to rid of Josue but he persists in following her.
