Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a film that talks about the life of Flint Lockwood. Flint is a person who thinks and dreams like a genius, but he is nothing close to it. He is not much of a genius at all, but he does believe in himself. His mother believes in everything that he does, but once she passes away, his father is all he has and he isn't that supportive. You will find that since he loses a whole lot, he wants to try and prove everybody, including his dad that he should be supported.

The town and community that he lives in ends up experiencing a huge economic crisis after a certain business fell apart which was the only way to seeing success in the community. They were the only ones who were earning a big income to help everybody out. So Flint creates a top notch invention that can easily turn water into nice looking food instantly. However, at his first attempt it doesn't seem to be instant, but after a bit of time, he ends up seeing that it could work.

The experiment ends up going into the sky and the world, causing for the world to have meatballs and all kinds of items get in the way. The entire town ends up having meatballs fall from the sky because everything that the world absorbs causes it all to turn into food. There are tons of people who deal with the problems in different ways. Flint discovers that he is the only one who can fix this big problem that is causing the food to fall everywhere around the town. With a bit of help from his friend who is a newscaster and other people who support him, he soon realizes that he really is smart and can do anything that he sets his mind to. Flint also finds love along the way despite the disastrous experiences that he undergoes with the world dropping meatballs from the sky.
