Upon setting up camp the group is approached by a native who leads them to one of the men of the original expedition. They are led to this man, who turns out to not be Charles, the man is comatose and ends up dying after a ceremony by the natives to bring him out of his coma. The group is bothered by the death but decide to continue on and take a boat further into the jungle.
