During the mid-1960s and height of the Civil Rights movement a man named Peter Bullis ("PeeJoe") is living in a small town in Alabama. He somehow finds himself involved in the middle of a protest with a group of African American students whom have a problem with the town's segregated swimming pool. This led to a young man losing his life by the town sheriff with Peter being the only witness. Although pressured by the sheriff to keep quiet, he learned through his aunt's actions to do what is right.
