Dial M for Murder
- 1 hr 45 min
Dial M for Murder is one of Hitchcock's classic mystery and suspense thrillers. Adapted from the play by Frederick Knott, it has plenty of twists and turns along the way as the plot unfolds. Margot and Tony Wendice (played by Ray Milland and Grace Kelly) are a typical couple living in Britain. An ex tennis pro married to a wealthy socialite, on the surface they appear to be a happy couple but looks can certainly be deceiving. When Tony discovers a love letter in Margot's purse from Mark, an American crime fiction writer (played by Robert Cummings), he plots to have her murdered by a former acquaintance and make it appear to have been committed by a burglar. When the murder plot doesn't go as planned, Tony quickly changes his tactics to accomplish his goal. The police arrive to investigate, and he attempts to deceive them about the events that have taken place.
