Dubbed a drifter because he fled China to enter the United States where he works in a restaurant, Little Brother finds himself in quite a pickle. He has a fling with the daughter of the restaurant’s owner, who is also from China. She subsequently becomes pregnant and is deported back to China. In an attempt to reconnect with his son, Little Brother returns to his homeland only to be ostracized by his family and friends. His only solace is his new girlfriend who offers him moral support, but the biggest battle is trying to reconnect with his son. He wants to raise his son, but the government forbade it because Little Brother illegally went to the United States to live. The battle of his life is on as he confronts every known factor in order to regain a relationship with his child.
