Drop Zone is a 1994 action-thriller directed by John Badham and starring Wesley Snipes, Gary Busey, and Yancy Butler. The film follows U.S. Marshal Pete Nessip (played by Snipes) as he investigates the murder of his brother, a skydiving instructor who died under suspicious circumstances. Nessip soon discovers that his brother's death is linked to a group of expert skydivers who plan to use their skills for criminal gain.

The movie opens with a thrilling skydiving scene, where we see a group of expert skydivers, led by the charismatic Ty Moncrief (played by Busey), jumped out of a plane and landed on the roof of a skyscraper in downtown Los Angeles, stealing millions of dollars in ransom money. The daring heist catches the attention of the FBI, but they don't have any leads until Nessip's brother is murdered while skydiving. Nessip is certain that his brother's death is linked to the skydiving gang and decides to go undercover to find the ones responsible.

As Nessip infiltrates the world of skydivers, he meets Jessie Crossman (played by Butler), a beautiful and talented skydiver who becomes his partner in the investigation. Together, they learn that the gang is planning to rob a DEA plane, and they must act fast to stop them. However, things take a dangerous turn when Nessip is betrayed by one of the members of the gang, and he must use all his skills to survive.

Drop Zone features some breathtaking skydiving scenes, which were all shot using real skydivers, without the use of stunt doubles. The skydiving sequences are some of the most thrilling moments in the film, and they are a testament to the bravery and skills of the skydivers involved. The film also features some impressive action scenes, including a high-speed chase on the beach and a tense standoff on top of a skyscraper.

Wesley Snipes delivers a solid performance as Nessip, a tough and determined U.S. Marshal who is driven by his need for revenge. Snipes brings both charisma and intensity to the role, making Nessip a believable and likable character. Gary Busey is equally impressive as Ty Moncrief, the leader of the skydiving gang. Busey is known for his larger-than-life performances, and he doesn't disappoint in this film, bringing a sense of danger and unpredictability to the role.

Yancy Butler is also excellent as Jessie Crossman, a strong and independent woman who is a skilled skydiver. Butler brings a sense of resilience and toughness to the character, making Jessie both a capable partner for Nessip and a formidable opponent for the bad guys.

In addition to the impressive cast and action sequences, Drop Zone also features a solid script that keeps the plot moving at a brisk pace. The film mixes action, suspense, and humor in just the right way, creating a satisfying and entertaining movie.

Overall, Drop Zone is a fun and exciting action-thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The skydiving scenes are truly impressive, and the performances by Snipes, Busey, and Butler are all top-notch. If you're a fan of adrenaline-fueled movies, Drop Zone is definitely worth checking out.
