Stakeout is a 1987 film about two cops who stakeout a woman’s house. The film stars Richard Dreyfuss, Emilio Estevez, and Madeleine Stowe. Dreyfuss plays Chris Lecce, and Estevez plays Bill Reimers. Maria McGuire, played by Stowe, is the woman who is living in the house that the two cops are staking out. They are staking out the house because that is where an escaped prisoner lived, and they think that the prisoner may return to that house. Two other cops are also staking out the house, and the two sets of cops have a prank contest during the movie. Chris goes home one day to find out that his wife has left him, and he is coping with that. After accidentally meeting, one of the cops becomes involved with Maria, and complications arise from that budding relationship. The partner of the cop who is involved with Maria does not like the situation.
