Wisdom is an American crime drama from 1986 that stars Emilio Estevez and Demi Moore. The titular John Wisdom has just left college only to discover that he's been convicted for a felony. Unable to acquire respectable employment or a good future, John decides to become a vigilante in the same vein as Robin Hood. After seeing countless reports of impoverished farmers and abusive bankers, John goes on a crime spree with his girlfriend Karen. Together, the pair use the money that they steal from banks to absolve the poor of their debts.

Despite the best of intentions, Karen and John's criminal antics draw the unflinching attentions of the Federal Bureau of Investigation of the United States. After Karen panics and winds up murdering an officer, the pair makes an ill-fated trek for the Canadian border. John is forced to continue his mission without Karen, only for things to grow even worse for the protagonist.

Wisdom is both written and directed by Emilio Estevez, who plays the role of John Wisdom; it also marks Estevez's debut as a filmmaker. Wisdom has a total running time of 109 minutes, was produced by Gladden Entertainment, and is distributed by 20th Century Fox.
