Hand Gun is a 1994 crime-drama film directed by Whitney Ransick and stars Treat Williams, Seymour Cassel, and Paul Schulze. The story revolves around a man named Scott (Treat Williams) who is an ex-con trying to lead a normal life after being released from prison. He works as a mechanic and lives with his girlfriend Santana (Elizabeth Rodriguez) in a modest apartment in New York City.

Scott's life takes a turn for the worse when he is forced to defend Santana from a group of thugs. In the process, he kills one of the attackers and finds himself being pursued by the police. Desperate and on the run, he seeks refuge with his old friend Nick (Seymour Cassel) who is a former boxer turned bar owner. Nick takes Scott in and tries to help him evade the law, but their efforts are complicated by the fact that Nick owes money to a local gangster named Miraldi (Frank Vincent).

As the movie progresses, Scott finds himself being pulled deeper into a world of crime and violence. He becomes romantically involved with Nick's daughter Lainie (Anna Levine) and also gets caught up in a scheme to rob a jewelry store. Along the way, he must confront the demons of his past and come to terms with the fact that he may never be able to escape his criminal past.

Hand Gun is a gritty and intense movie that explores themes of redemption, loyalty, and survival. The film is notable for its realistic portrayal of life in the underbelly of New York City and for its depiction of complex characters who are neither entirely good nor entirely bad. Treat Williams delivers a powerful performance as Scott, a man haunted by his past and struggling to find his place in the world. Seymour Cassel is equally compelling as Nick, a tough but affectionate father figure who harbors his own secrets and regrets.

The movie also features a strong supporting cast, including Paul Schulze as Miraldi's enforcer and Steve Buscemi in a brief but memorable role as a pawnbroker. The film's gritty visuals and raw energy are a testament to the director's skill at capturing the dark and seedy side of urban life.

Overall, Hand Gun is a compelling and intense movie that is sure to resonate with fans of crime drama and thriller genres. The film's strong performances, gritty visuals, and engaging storyline make it a must-see for anyone interested in exploring the darker side of human nature.
