Hell Night is a 1981 horror film about a group of college coeds who spend the night in a haunted house as part of an initiation ceremony. At a frat party, Alpha Sigma Rho pledges Marti (Linda Blair), Seth (Vincent Van Patten), Jeff (Peter Barton), and Denise (Suki Goodwin) are required, as part of an initiation, to spend the night in the Garth Manor mansion where several murders took place twelve years ago. Apparently, patriarch Raymond Garth went mad and murdered his wife and their children when he couldn't deal with the children's severe abnormalities. According to legend, lone survivor Andrew Garth is still living inside Garth Manor. After the pledges are set up in the house, fraternity president Peter Bennett (Kevin Brophy), Scott (Jimmy Sturtevant) and his girlfriend May (Jenny Neumann) attempt to scare the pledges with a number of sound devices and props set throughout the mansion. May is dragged away and decapitated. Peter and Scott are also violently killed. After Jeff finds the bodies, he and the others realize the legend is true. All four try to get out of the mansion, but the wrought iron gates surrounding it are locked. One of the disfigured killers attacks Marti and Jeff, who ultimately kill him and escape. Seth is able to escape and make his way to the local police department. Seth's story is not believed by the officer, who thinks he is merely making up a prank. Seth manages to steal the officer's gun before leaving and going back to the mansion. Seth and Jeff are quickly killed, leaving Marti alone to escape the mansion. Marti is able to retrieve Peter's car keys. Marti fights the madman as he tries to grab her through the car's window. She rams the iron gate, and the car fishtails. She then accelerates and rams it into the wrought iron gate again, impaling the man. As the sun rises, she walks away.
